It’s the FINALE! When we last left the S.P.I.R.I.T. kids they were cornered by a man called Captain Oli and his henchman Sir Walter Wright. What do they want? To find the treasure of Benjamin “Six-Finger” Hansen! And they believe Hans can lead them to it. Will they find the treasure? Can the kids get away? Or will something supernatural surprise everyone? The Plank House – Part II

We last left the S.P.I.R.I.T. kids sitting quietly in a small cabin during their weekend beach trip on the Muskie River with their dads. Well, everyone was sitting quietly except for Hans, of course. He snuck out to look for clues to the hidden treasure of the famous pirate known as Benjamin “Six-Finger” Hansen! His search brought him to the abandoned restaurant known as The Plank House. But when he arrived, he was greeted by a mysterious pirate and forced to board a terrifying ship. Who took Hans? What does he want with him? Where did the ship take him? Find out today.

The Plank House – Part I

I’ve yet to tell a story that features all four of my S.P.I.R.I.T. kids characters — until now.

Ten-year-olds Matt, Maya, Hans and Agnes are on weekend beach trip with their dads. Everything is going great until Hans discovers an old gold coin he believes belongs to the lost treasure of a legendary pirate. Suddenly their relaxing family trip becomes an adventure none of them will ever forget.

Every culture has myths. The ancient Greeks believed in a monster that had venomous snakes for hair and could turn people to stone with just a simple stare. In parts of Europe, some people believe that small, ugly creatures with wrinkled green skin called goblins hold treasure they would kill to protect. It would be strange then for some mythical creature like this to show up in a small, quiet town like Elmwood. But recently, one such mythical creature did.
